Yeah so why did the Hulk just all of a sudden have control over himself in The Avengers. It was so distracting I could barely pay attention to the climax.

I took it that Tony helped him with it. He kept telling him to embrace it and that if he did that he might be surprised at the control he has over it. Bruce hates becoming the Hulk and only does so when he is in a pure fit of rage. The first time he Hulks out in the movie is because he gets pissed off just enough. The second time he becomes the Hulk is because he chooses to become the Hulk. When he says something along the lines of his secret being that he's always angry, it means he actually doesn't have to get pissed off to become Hulk. So when he became the Hulk on his own, he had a bit more control.

Plus they inferred that Loki was kind of controlling him making him become Hulk on the helicarrier.

I didn't get that at all. Loki simply knew that having the Hulk go bonkers on the helicarrier would cause complete chaos, which it did.

You didn't see the part when he picked up the Sceptor? Remember Black Widow was on her way to let them know Loki was trying to get Banner to become the Hulk, that was his plan.

My take on that entire scene was the the scepter was causing everyone near it to simply get agitated. Go watch that scene again, and you will note that everyone in that room with the scepter was getting more and more chippy with each other. The scepter was doing it trying to get Banner pissed off enough to hulk-out, because Loki guessed correctly that Banner would be analyzing it due to the radiation... It was all planned, and they took the bait.

Went in for a second viewing for this, is it just me or do theaters need to fucking lower the volume ( brought earplugs)

I can understand what phil and stillies said about the hulk, however while watching the movie you don't really have time to analyze how bruce suddenly becomes all dandy, I guess i'm the only one who noticed because when i mentioned it everybody i was with had no idea how it happened.

Are they making more avengers movies?

Not yet. They're doing Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Captain America 2 and stuff like that.
Then we'll get Avengers 2.

I saw it again on Fathers Day (Me and My brother took my Dad) and the Hulk thing is pretty clear...The first thing Widow says to Banner is "We have to get you out of here Doctor, Loki is manipulating you." Then all the arguing starts about the weapons and SHIELD's motives.

I really hope he has a lot of creative control over the TV series. Mainly I just want more Joss Whedon TV series. Hopefully he can leverage this new popularity and keep a show on the air for more than 2 seasons now. Having it be a licensed property would certainly help.

I don't know, maybe I'm nuts. Do people even really know who he is yet? Aside from us nerds, of course.

It's a licensed property on a network which are both owned by the same company. I sure hope it is good and can last a while.

Hell, they had Desperate Housewives on for almost a decade.

Finally saw this movie and I loved it, especially the "always angry" bit and the part where he just smashes the fuck out of Loki.

That was probably the best scene in the whole move. I think it's due to the fact that we didn't get anything like that in the previous Hulk movies, and that is what we wanted as fans.
