ghost trick is fantastic. Old Missile is possibly the most insane thing ever.

this is enough to make me day that one described above:
"Sigma, the main character, is kidnapped and awakens in an elevator with a girl named Phi, who seems to know him. Zero 3, a talking rabbit,[4][8] appears on a computer monitor in front of them, which causes them to flee the elevator; the pair find themselves in an abandoned warehouse alongside seven other people.[4][8] Their goal is to escape the building. However, they find themselves enrolled in a game known as the Nonary Game: Ambidex Version,[3] which relies on a system called "Bangle Points" ("BP"), which are won by cooperating with or betraying other players. A player is allowed to leave the warehouse if only they possess nine BP; however, if a player's BP reach zero, they are killed by a lethal injection.[1]"

I mean its basically the idea behind 999, but this time you die by leathal injection instead of a bomb in your belly haahahahhahah

Finished Bastion tonight. Decent game, but certainly didn't love it like I wanted to.

So this is probably my favorite Rockstar game to date. The story had some pacing problems where certain parts got dragged out way longer than they had to, but I can forgive all that in the end. Unfortunately, I accidentally read a major spoiler about the game back before I even started playing it... that was kind of a bummer. Still, even with some crazy technical glitches and random freeze-ups I loved the game quite a bit. Great story, great characters, beautiful game. Yeah, I liked it. Sign me up for Red Dead Revengeance.

I just finished mario 3D land, was it phil who said this game was way to easy and short? I'd say it's mostly easy but it can have some FUCKTHISSHIT moments, and as for length you're just spoiled by the galaxy series.

Also I can't believe how everybody was saying this is the greatest mario game, yeah right.

Yeah it's not as good as the Galaxies or New SMBW, but it's certainly top tier shit. It aint messin' around. Easily the best portable Mario game ever.

And I don't recall saying it was short. Though I did 100% it much quicker than the other Mario games I mentioned. Think it took 13 hours as opposed to like 20 - 30 on the others.

Grabbed the Jak collection when I got revelaitons the other day. I flew through the first game, even got the platinum trophy for it. It's pretty rough around the edges now. The graphics are showing their age, even with the HD treatment, and the controls are looser than I remember. I also find it weird that there's only 2 bosses in the game. Still, it's a fun 3d platformer, with it's own neat little progress mechanic. You have to collect power cells, a la stars in Super Mario 64, to move forward in the game. How it differs is that you are never kicked back to the hub world against your will, and you must figure out how to get them on your own, through exploration and experimentation. The last few levels drew the rage out of me, but I still had a lot of fun exploring the world and re-finding all of it's secrets.

Yo, I heard you like puzzles.

This game is exactly like every other layton game. The story wasn't as dumb as the last one at least. Also, the way the last section of puzzles worked out was pretty neat. I liked it, but like every other Layton, it takes some leaps of logic to deal with it.

Beautiful game, too bad the rest of it is so repetitive. Although, the last mission almost makes it all worth it.

Decided to play The Simpsons tonight as I had to kill a bit of time being exercising (ate a late dinner). I enjoyed it. It was a bit boring playing by myself, but it's neat to finally play a legal home version of this. If there was any justice in this world, this would have been a SNES classic back in the day, but instead we got Virtual Bart.

Great game, it felt like I was playing a game written by Stephen King. I also really liked the atmosphere, trudging around at night in the woods felt really isolating.

Anyways, I'm glad Remedy finally ported this game over to the PC.

Rhythm Heaven was great. It's a pretty deceptively challenging game. It's pretty much a test of your ability to keep time and react to audio/visual cues. This may sound pretty boring, but they do plenty to keep it interesting. The art looks great and the songs work well enough for what they are. I think I liked the DS version a bit more, but there is some great stuff in here. Ringside and the Samurai game are my personal favorites.

Finished up Rayman Origins last night. I really enjoyed this game, but the level design kind of fell apart towards the end in order to amp up the difficulty. There's just way too much pinpoint precision required where it hasn't been during the vast majority of the game. It made the last few levels really frustrating to get all the secrets. The shmup stages were all pretty great, and I loved the swimming stages. The standard platforming was great when you are running full speed, but anything requiring precision was kind of a shit show.

I noticed that Rayman control issue stuff from the demo alone, which to me was the biggest turn off. Meanwhile everyone is fooled into thinking that somehow it's a better platformer than something like NSMB Wii or DKCR.

I'd still like to play through it eventually though.

Well considering there is nothing like it on the PS3/360, I kind of understand the enthusiasm. When you put it alongside Nintendo's offerings, it's nowhere near as sweet. It's a good game, no doubt, but it doesn't really hold up to most 2D Wii platformers. Nintendo has that shit on lockdown.

Had a bunch of people over the house last night playing Buzz for ps3 and we decided to get some 4 player Simpsons Arcade going...man it was a blast, I realized I had never beaten it before holy shit I cant imagine how many quarters it would have taken to beat that bowling ball boss in Krustys Dreamland.

I really liked this game a lot. There's a surprising amount of content here for a portable game. I'm actually surprised how they pulled this game off without over-simplifying it like other handheld versions of HD games. It could totally be a PS3 or 360 RE game with a few modifications. My only real complaint is that you switch characters and locations for little bits here and there, which rips you out of Jill's story.
