It's for people who are terrible at games but still want to play them. It's not like it's something that's forced on you.

At least that's what I took away from it. Of course it's left open for more.

How about that 2D zeus fight?

I actually kind of liked that. It was better than the final one with him where it's just a cluster fuck.

And Jim, I hear the second half of 3D Land is the real deal. I wonder if they'll still allow for that stuff?

It is, I've died a shit load of times on a level in the second half and nothing comes up. Pretty awesome stuff, I can see myself playing though this a few times.

Not sure if I have an earlier post but:

Batman: Arkham City (11/13/2011)

Personally, I thought it was awesome (a little short, but still awesome).

I just beat the game and hardly did any of the side quests. I'm thinking about trying to pick this game up at Walmart on Black Friday for $28 so I can do the other stuff and just to own my own copy of this. I borrowed it from Nate. I just beat this game before November 16th at 11:55 pm.

Got the "credits" in 3D Land last night though I'd say I still have a bit to go. I'm about halfway through the second half of the game, though I still have lots of star coins to go back to and lots of Yellow flags to get (I'm assuming something happens when you get all yellow flags since they pop up on the stage select screen when you get them). Game is awesome. I don't know if I like it as much as Galaxy or NSMB Wii, but it's up there and I have a hard time putting it down when I play it.

Second Quest is awesome so far. Didn't expect new stages in addition to remixed and timed ones. Getting Luigi was awesome too. He makes getting yellow flags MUCH easier. Also, I love that his Tanooki suit is a fox. I also love that they have the stone tanooki after the game too. And poison mushrooms! And Dry Bowser boss battles! Sucks that the Boom Boom Battles on the Doom Ships have been removed though. Man, so good.

Beat Saint's Row The Third last night. I beat it faster than I would have liked to but that's what happens when you're sick, can't sleep and don't really have much else to do.

Very fun game. Not sure if I like it as much as I did 2 but I am still a big fan.

The game suffers from poor aiming, but otherwise it's fucking awesome. The first half I really wasn't feeling it, but after meeting up with Elena again the story really picks up and is full of action. The aiming controls make for some annoying firefights where I ended up pussing out and waiting for the enemies to come at me rather than attacking.

The first half was pretty cool, but the second half was kinda dull. The art style doesn't really make up for the lack of a plot.

Weird game.

I can say it now. This is the best 3d Zelda game. First and foremost, it's an absolute blast to play. The combat is consistently exciting and incredibly satisfying. This could have carried the entire game, and it does bring my opinion of it up quite a bit, but they really knocked this one out of the park in so many aspects. I felt a lot more attached to the world and it's inhabitants in this game than in other Zeldas. Usually watching the camera pan over the different areas in a Zelda ending, I feel like a tourist saying goodbye. In this game, I felt like I was moving away from home. You become really familiar with the world over the course of the game due to revisiting areas and watching them evolve. I think the cast of characters is the strongest since Majora's mask. Many of the dungeons and bosses just blew me away. DUNGEON 4!!! So good!

There are nitpicks I have with the game, but they all get crushed under the weight of all the awesome things this game brings to the table. This is the first Zelda game that I have done everything I could in since Link to the Past. I relished every moment that I played this game.

Game of the Year.

BAM.

At one point late in the game you will be tasked with visiting each of the areas down on the surface to get one part of something from each of them. You are free to do them in any order (unlike earlier in the game, when you are also visiting each of them for something), but if you choose to do certain areas last you might find yourself stuck as crucial events refuse to happen. Many people have done them in the "wrong" order without issue - just the simple act of doing this does not cause the bug - while others (like myself) have found themselves unable to progress through the game. It seems clear that the bug is caused by a combination of doing certain areas last and some other unknown factors. Anyway, thus far nobody has reported the bug happening when doing Lanayru last, so this seems to be the safest way to do it.

It's actually surprisingly unbuggy. There's, of course, some of dat open world jank, but not many actual game glitches. At least for me.

I guess I'm also going by the fact that I heard the PS3 version was almost unplayable for people, and that would be the version I'd have to get if I wanted to play it.

Also I won't argue what should be GOTY because I haven't played Skryim and you haven't played Zelda, so it's pointless.

Not even I would dare to argue an objective GOTY!
