I fixed it. I missed the ribbon cable on the underside of the RF card thing.

Easy fix.

Now to clone my laptop HDD to the new drive, format my old laptop drive, and pop it in the PS3.

Thats good it was something simple, I broke my 80 fat down a little while ago and it was pretty dusty. It still gets pretty loud pretty fast though, so I may need to put new thermal paste on it, I just don't really want to screw it up. I'm the king of putting stuff back together and being left with spare parts.

so i inherited a new entertainment center from my in-laws for all my media crap. it holds much more than my old and does a better job at hiding the giant mes of cables streaming out of the back so i took it. it has two glass doors so the whole thing is enclosed.

this is apparently not so great for the PS3 if i close the door. i heard the fan on that thing going off like i never heard before. . if i open the door it seems to cool off, but its kind of a drag that i have to keep the door open when im using the PStriple3. oh well. white people problems haah
