I couldn't stand having all those points and the rewards never updating, so I finally ordered my Game and Watch Collection. I've wanted it for a while and I'm not sure why I didn't get it already. I guess I was thinking that as soon as I got it, Nintendo would update the store with something cooler. Well fuck it, I'm tired of waiting.

Ball's in your court Nintendo.

Hahaha, I'm waiting too. I have 1430 coins in my account. I actually decided today to just pick the Mario hat for the "reward". Punch Out is probably going to be a pretty big file and I don't want it on my Wii to be honest. Maybe I'll just sell the hat or something. Whatever.

Same here. Pretty much holding out for that.

It would be cool if Nintendo offered DSi and Wii points cards too.

Holy shit, Game and Watch Collection came 3 days later. WTF? That's ridiculously quick.

anyone check out club nintendo lately? They have a poster set for the Legend of Zelda which has three posters. The first poster is the history of Link which shows the different art style of Link back to 1987. The other two posters are Phantom Hourglass and Twilight Princess. Image

Those posters are cool, but I'd have nothing to do with them once I got them.

I just want a DSi case. I'm just going to end up buying one myself... I know it's only 10 bucks, but whatev'.

Did you get yours? I guess mine is on the way.

I had 1,600 coins so I just decided to order those Zelda posters. The Twilight Princess one is awesome. I might throw a frame around it and hang it in my comp room.

The hat came in yesterday. It's sort of cool but I have zero use for this thing or anywhere to even put it. It will likely end up in my basement with all the other shit in my house that is in limbo. I might sell it on ebay... from the looks of it I could maybe get 20 dollars for it. Maybe.

Remember that idea I had for a series for this site before it launched?

On top of doing the cartoons, another idea i was kicking around was a mockumentary super hero thing. The idea has probably been done a million times by this point, but the guy was just supposed to be a regular dude that would want to be a super hero, with no powers of course. His side kick, I forget the name, was going to be a guy in a Chewbacca costume (I think thats what I asked you to be John). Then for the heroes car I wanted the guy to put an hand drawn angry face onto the front of his car whenever he would go out on the hunt in costume.

Anyway, it was probably a terrible idea and probably good it didn't happen. Hahaha.

Well I won't lie, I did try it on and look at myself in the mirror with it. But that was as far as it went. Hahahaha.

wow, no I dont remember that at all but it sounds ridiculous. hahahaha
unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) that has been done a few times in movies. I think one came out recently with that same superhero with no powers plot.

Yeah, I think when I thought of it like 5 years ago it was a somewhat unique idea. Maybe. I would never do it now. I still like the idea of putting an angry face onto the front of the car though. I might use that gag one day in something I make.

The Zelda posters came in yesterday. They're actually really nice print outs. I'll likely be framing the Twilight Princess one for my computer room, and I think the other two I'm going to give away during our next Marathon as prizes.

Yeah, I got them too. They are pretty sick. I really like the evolution of Link one.

New stuff on Club Nintendo. There is a WiiWare game for 80 points (I got a ticket for it, it has to be awful), a second Game and Watch collection, and a set of Mario posters similar to the Zelda set.

I downloaded the Grilling game. It's pretty sweet considering it's like the cheapest thing on Club Nintendo. It's actually a lot of fun. As you might expect it's low on features, but it's basically a classic style video game with Wii controls. You make the arm grab forward by making a cutting motion with the remote and nunchuck and then grab by pressing A. You move the hand back and forth by using the analog stick. It's kind of like rubbing your head and patting your belly but that's what makes it kinda unique. The goal is to just grab the food before it burns and get points. If the food burns or you don't drop it properly onto the plate it's game over. Your combo increases if you manage to grab the meat (hee hee) just as it finishes cooking. It's actually really fast paced and gets hard quickly.

I recommend checking it out.

I doubt anyone here does this anymore, but the CN year ended and the "awards" for elite and gold status are out.

Last year they gave out the Mario hats and/or Doc Louis' Punch Out, and a bunch of calendars. This year they're doing an SMB figure thing and a bunch of calendars.

The statue is pretty cool
