Yeah man I use a laptop with a LG monitor attached (for now still don't know what I'll do at home with a real PC) and I never figured out the 2background thing either.

I just stitched them together in Irfanview with a resolution that matches my desktop over two monitors (3360 x 1050) and set the background to "Tile."
