hah welcome to the smorg! :)

ROFL! best part about that is that nub prolly didn't even realize that like 40% of game content is post-60. its not like he 'beat the game.' I definitely remember when my warrior hit 60. a LONG ASS time ago. but other than that, its just another 'ding.' Give me my phat purpz plz

Is 60 the max level?

for the moment, yeah, but with Burning Crusade the level cap will be increased to 70. Supposedly the grind from 69-70 is going to take about as long as it took to get from 50-60 (!!!) since required XP/lvl is exponential.

I can't find the old thread. Well anyway I haven't played WoW since 06 because my computer didn't run it very well. My computer is running on Windows 2000 and it was torture playing Warcraft. Well I am getting a new computer for my birthday and will be joining WoW once more. Some of my friends are still playing that and are very excited that I'm rejoining them again. I got a taste over the weekend while I was in Maryland and I can't wait to play this game once more.

Once upon a time I was addcited to the drug called world of warcrack but I joined wow players anonymous and have been clean for about a year. Lol actually I didn't have enough time to commit to it as I wanted to so I stopped playing regularly I still fire it up every so often though.

I hate it that the ATI drivers I download comes with a free WoW trail install on it. That should be illegal. It's no better than selling crack on the streets if you ask me.

i am back into the crack. i used the 'recruit a friend' program to start a new account, and now i am dual boxing, getting triple XP for everything (quests included). i am rolling out at a clip better than a level an hour at the moment. i think it's like level 34 in about 28 hours or so. I am dual boxing a warlock and a priest, its pretty clutch TBQH.

Yeah a friend of mine finally sold me on trying this. I'm rolling with a fury/arms warrior and a resto/elemental shaman. My goal is to have a Prot Warrior and a Resto Shaman when all is said and done (the raid group I run with always has issues finding healers and tanks). The rate at which you level is unbelievable. Both my toons are at level 15 after only about 6 hours of playing. Dual boxing is pretty addictive, I am really enjoy it so far.

The only problem seems to be keeping them geared because it moves so fast. I've also been training their skills every 4-6 levels rather than every 2 just because its a pain to go back so often. I guess because there are so many people doing this the price of low level greens on the AH have gone through the roof on my server. Level 14 greens are selling for 5-10g, the crafted stuff is out of control.

Goddamn this game.

gear is a nonissue until 60 imho. i was wearing greys and Tranquillen greens until level 30. i finally went to the AH and shelled out like 20g for a full set of crap greens. and then there was mount money. This shit is too easy. i can't wait till i hit 60.

the triple XP is through the refer-a-friend program. basically you log in to your wow account on the website and send an email to someone you want to refer. I simply sent one to myself. then after i recieved the email, i created a trial account, upgraded it to full, created a trial Burning Crusade account, upgraded THAT to full, and started playing.

The triple XP bonus is for both quest and kill XP provided that you are partied with someone from the account you referred, and you can both get XP from the kill or quest. i BELIEVE it is only until level 60.

other perks include: You can summon a friend from the account you referred (or vice versa) once per hour. basically a free hearthstone when you need it, but so much more is possible. Also, for every TWO levels you gain on a character on an account you referred, you can grant ONE level to any character on the other account, provided the character granting the levels is of a higher level than the character being leveled. this may work both ways across accounts, but i am not sure.

Example: I am levelling a warlock on the account i play and a priest on the new account. I have a 51 mage and a 49 shaman as well on my account. So when the priest (on the other account) hits 60, i will have 30 levels to grant to my other toons, thus i will have a 60 priest, 60 warlock, 60 mage, and 60 shaman.

Yes that is correct, from 60-70 you go back to the normal XP rate. However, they are going to reduce the amount of XP needed to get from 60-70 in the coming patch before WotLK comes out.

I'm doing the same thing as you Sean, however I'm not sure if i'm going to grant the 30 levels to a Hunter or a Pally.

So you have to be paying for two accounts at once and have them both logged in?

you could actually recruit a friend. OR you could abuse it during the 10 day trial. keep in mind that when you create a normal wow account from the trial you get 10 free trial days and then a free month.
