Two things i do as soon as i buy an MLB game: Make my RTTS character and start a franchise with a fantasy draft.

Franchise:

This might be one of the best drafts I've ever had. As it is a franchise, i tend to value prospects over veterans and position players over starting pitching. As such, my MLB pitching staff isn't that great, but my AAA staff (and position players) are really good. I picked 6th. Here are my results.

My starting rotation is very young, with the exception of Wakefield. I picked him up late in the draft, because i wanted to give my next-best SP another year to season in AAA.

3B - David Wright (NYM)
SS - Starlin Castro (ChN)
LF - Ryan Braun (Mil)
CF - Mike Trout (LAA)

Bench Dudes:

C - Jason Varitek (FA)
SS - Omar Vizquel (Tor)
1B - Jim Thome (Phi)
LF - Manny Ramirez (FA)
3B - Chone Figgins (Sea)
RF - Vladimir Guerrero (FA)

My bench is pretty awesome. Three power bats off the bench (Thome, Ramirez, Guererro). Two awesome defensive replacements/speed guys (Figgins, Omar), and a solid catcher to spell Weiters when needed (varitek). 3 Switch hitters, 2 Righties, and a Lefty.

AAA

SP - Danny Duffy (KC)
SP - Chris Tillman (Bal)
SP - Drew Pommeranz (Col)
SP - Kyle Drabek (Tor)
SP - Brett Tomko (FA)

Stacked pitching staff. Brett Tomko is obviously a washed up old dude. The rest of my relievers are basically no-names.

C - Hank Conger (LAA)
1B - Anthony Rizzo (ChC)
2B - Noname
3B - Mike Moustakas (KC)
SS - No Name
LF - Kyle Blanks (SD)
CF - Lorenzo Cain (KC)
RF - Domonic Brown (Phi)

Bench dude are some MLB reserves (Rowand, DeRosa) and a couple no-names.

Sitting in AA are Trayvon Robinson (Sea) and Brandon Wood (Col).

Overall a pretty decent haul.


I'll get into RTTS later, probably won't start it until OperationSports releases their full majors/minors roster update.

I don't start my franchise until operation sports releases theor roster. I start off right away with rtts bc there is no need for full rosters since I'm only playing as one guy.

I have also been playing diamond dynasty but I can't hit online and when I play the cpu I can only win if I shut them out and I get lucky

i wonder if RTTS still has the bug it had a couple years ago where the cpu teams drop all the good players, and in like 3 years, everyone on every team is a noname. I hope they fixed that.
