The dual sticks are cool and all but I think that portable gaming works better with games like Mario Kart and Pokemon and stuff where you can play a bit and put it down rather easily.

No way, the thing is like a tiny PS3. It runs shit like this already:

I dont feel like posting numbers for Feb, but it looks like Vita didn't have the start people suspected. 225K for the month of Feb. Early reports I saw were saying around 400k. Pretty awful. I hope Vita gains some traction.

That said, I saw a man playing the baseball Vita game at the hospital today. I enjoyed seeing it out in the wild.

I think his point is the 3DS sucks and no one is buying it.

His words, not mine.

Yeah well E3 is coming up and there's all that new console buzz, also the games weren't the best.

Remember when NPD's were exciting? I actually forgot this happened tonight.

edit: I actually do find Diablo at #1 semi-surprising. This is for physical games. I would imagine that most of Diablo's audience downloaded that game. Interesting how people are still buying physical copies of PC games and shows that Diablo is one of those things that transcend the average PC player.

I'm not too surprised. It seemed to me like the majority of people were buying it. Also it sold like 3.5 million in a day and had a total of 6.3 millions sales in a week so even if the majority did do digital download the physical sales still probably crushed everything else, especially when Prototype 2 is #4.

Yet ATVI slipped today despite a positive market. WTF is up with that? They expected even bigger numbers?

I don't think ATVI will go up. Diablo is a huge game but it was expected to do huge numbers. Even if it did have a positive impact on ATVI I'm sure them paying off Zampella and West had a negative impact. They could have lost $1 billion if West and Zampella won their lawsuit so I'm sure the payout they got to settle was huge.

It sounds like I was right about other games not doing as great as expected. Max Payne apparently sold 440K, it was expected to do about 600K from what I've heard.

It looks like the opposite of Skyrim. Great combat with a kind of shitty world/environment.
