If they truly cut out the horseshit, there would have been no Usher performance. And you're right that their thing shouldn't be about third parties, which is why I can't stand when they show off COD every. single. year. like it's exclusive to them. I guess those stupid map packs are.

MS conference was weak. The Kinect stuff you mention is cool, but they've been talking this shit up for years. Again, you comment on the stuff with HBOGo, but this is what MS has been doing for the last few years. No one cares because they've covered this ground already for two years in a row. Also, Kinect games took a back seat... which is good and bad. Good because that shit sucks, bad because it was successful and now there aint shit for it game wise.

So far both this conference and EA's conference are showing that the industry is about to hit its transitional phase. No one is showing anything truly unique because no one is going to launch unique shit at the tail end of a console generation. This is a year of just getting shit out the door to sustain the consoles while they toil away on the new ones.

The question is do they even have to show Kinect stuff? I don't think the people watching E3 are really their target audience for that.

To be honest the best parts of E3 to me are the 3rd party stuff for the most part. I don't really give a fuck about Kinect, or anything Nintendo is doing (cause I don't own their system). The only exclusive shit I really might wind up caring about is the PS3 stuff and even then it will only be a few things tops.

Nintendo is going to crush it this year. WiiU presentation tomorrow, seperate 3DS presentation on Wednesday, corporate philosophy stuff already out of the way, GAMES.

Anyone else find it interesting that all of these Ubisoft games (FC3, AC3) appear to be running on PS3?

Also G4 is fucking ridiculous. Why do they even bother trying to censor shit when they show tits and then whenever they try to bleep shit out they bleep out way too much and frequently miss a large part of the curse. Like in this Ubi demo that they are running for Watch Dogs I missed a decent chunk of what the guy was saying "what a fuc-bllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeep... will handle it."

But this game looks really interesting. I like the environment. The rain and night looked great. Also there were some neat things like the guy deactivating all the lights in the area, including traffic lights, causing a pile up and providing some interesting cover. The shooting just looked alright but whatever.

Yeah I hope there are more buildings that you can go into and such. That's frequently my beef with open world games they're great but they need more enter-able buildings, not every single building but maybe like 10-20%.

I think Watch Dogs is the most interesting thing to me GOW looked like GOW, Far Cry 3 looks decent and I'd like to see some more from The Last of Us. Especially pertaining to the girl and how she handles herself.

I just checked out the Halo 4 stuff and it looks kind of neat. I was never really big on Halo multiplayer after Halo 1 and I enjoyed co-oping the story in 2 but I haven't been to into it since. I like the look of the new enemies and energy weapons.

I agree with what egoraptor posted...the games look great, introduce some interesting elements, then they throw guns in again...everything is shooting and guns, give us something different.

BTW I went into Sony's conference really hoping they'd sell me on Vita and they did the complete opposite (which I guess I should be thankful for). Honestly, you would think that Vita has been out for years now and was old hat. They had shit for it. Dante said how the COD announcement is huge, and maybe he's right, but all they showed was a logo. Thing is supposed to be out by holiday. I'm assuming it's just going to be a port of the first BLOPS by the way it was named. I don't think that's the right way to go for it. What they should have done was put BLOPS2 on there and you can just use your same profile across the two versions. So they even dropped the ball on that.

Also, outside of Harry Potter spells, Move is fucking dead, which I guess is fine. At this point they should just be handing Move out almost for free. Bundle it with those Potter books for the price of a regular game. Instead it's going to be a 100 dollar bundle, I assume anyway.

PS3 still has software as strong as ever, and the new PS+ downloads are sweet. Like MS though, this felt like a show of just getting through their final year of this gen. Meanwhile... Nintendo enters this gen today. Hahaha.

Really pissed about the lack of Vita stuff. Nintendo is having an hour long showcase focusing solely on 3DS, in a year they are releasing a new console, and all Sony can muster is 2 spin-off series. It's like PSP all over again. Garbage.

edit: Man I want to see more of that 3DS Castlevania game.
