So, we've been doing the blog things for a month now. I'll admit, I put off some Sode responsibilities over the past few weeks just to kind of help flesh out the blog a bit and also redo basically the entire site. So we want to know, how do you guys feel about the Nerdlog? Does it help in your wait for new Shamoozal episodes? Does it stand well on it's own? Don't even bother reading it? Let us know.

If you haven't been keeping up, here are some highlights from the past month

The Pain In my Back
Every time I think I?m out? or, WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW!?
Gamecube Underdogs
Dir En Grey
N64 VS WCW/NWO
GamingFM Internet Radio
Do you really own your Wii VC titles?
Sony Owes Me $3,600.00
Castlevania: Bring Back the Barbarians
LARP Friday
Some musings on PS3?s flOw from Shamoozal
The Homeless
It's So Right
Gameboy from Captain N is Awful
Gamestop: Taking Advantage of Little Boys Since 1983

And also John's weekly DVD and Theater release updates
DVD 2/27/07

I think the Nerdlog definately helps between sodes. Especially for those "I like this site, but I don't want to contribute so I'll just check everyday to see if there's a new sode" kinda people. It feels great to know you guys aren't dead.

As for content I gotta say there are some quality reviews in there. I really liked the Captain N is Awful and Castlevania: Bring Back the Barbarians. Keep it up guys!

there are actually two links to the main page/nerdlog from anywhere you are on the site. you can click the "shamoozal" logo to get there as well as hitting "what's new". bloop.

yes you can. the header is at the top of every page including the forums. thats why we changed all the pages to better integrate the forums and the nerdlog.

Hahaha, really? I turned that back on one day and I hated it. Guess you don't dig the Shamoozal colors?

I'm just used to the way it shows new posts, I've been using this one since I started coming here and just never changed it.

Oh well man, that is the price you pay for using the wrong forum style. Haha. I left there as an option though, I could have easily taken it away!

I like the silver style, probably because its like every other forum i go to. I don't mind not having a link at the top though I just have both bookmarked.

friends,
since phil informed me that my post about N64 wrestling games is one of the most viewed posts on the nerdlog so far.... and its still getting hundreds of views... i decided to add a Digg button to the bottom of it to see if random people click it.

who knows what will happen.
i think i'm gonna work on a follow up to the post.
PART 2 BABY!!!! give me some ideas in the comments section of the post.

for now, can everyone that has a second go digg the article?

Thanks man, I appreciate it.

Also, Steve/Sol just posted an awesome Game Store rant that's off to a decent start. Go read it, and then digg it! Thanks guys.

Hey guys, thanks for helping us out and giving us so much support. We managed to capture a bit of lightening again last night as Steve's blog post 'Confessions of a Game Store Customer' brought in another hefty load of Diggs (and traffic), well over the 500 mark, along with a nod from Joystiq. Apparently the site was up and down again all through the night.

This is going to be a huge month for us. We will finish the new episode with Grey and Jacquo, continue to update the blog, and we're also being (basically anyway) forced onto a new server. When we get this busy month out of the way, we'll likely record a new podcast. Thanks!

sorry if this has been posted but i was reading the comments on digg for solidefy's article and this one caught my eye in response to Tu's comment ahahha

"From the comments (I think it's the same guy that made the article)

"I think about it this way, no matter how bitchy they get, I get the final laugh because, guess what, they?re working at a mall making minimum wage."

Wow, the snobbery from this tool astounds me. With that attitude no wonder he gets some backlash from the guys working behind the counter. I'm sorry, but not all of us were born with a silver spoon in our mouth and are able to take over mommy or daddy's multi-million dollar family business as soon as we graduate high school; some of us actually have to start from the bottom, and I mean the rock-bottom. I'm in college right now working at a local Target (Up from a janitor job at a state-college) and I have to deal with the "Better than thou" attitude on a daily basis. Sorry if I have to work a little bit harder for my dollar, but not all of us start out with what mom and dad gives us."
