This is about the PSP question.

I don't really see there being a completely new redesign anytime soon. It has been said repeatedly that the PSP has a 10 year life cycle and it is currently on year 5. That being said, most people at the beginning of the year were pretty much thinking that the PSP was dead. However, with announcements such as LBP, Rockband Unplugged, Assassin's Creed and Motorstorm being announced I highly doubt Sony is going to be giving up on this system anytime soon.

I am very interested to see how this "test run" for digital downloads goes with Patapon 2, while I am on the fence about how I feel about it, it does make sense. Sony could truely make the system portable in that you won't have to lug around battery draining UMDs around all the time (and trust me, they drain the hell out of them). In the end, the PSP is a solid piece of hardware and I hope that it doesn't go away for quite some time.

I hope my grammar was at least bearable, it is 10 'o clock and I stop giving a damn about that stuff at about 7 or 8.

What exactly does motion+ offer? What are the exact details?

And how is that different or better than what is out now?

And what's with the 4 minute rap song in the end?

Because the Wii remote as it is can't read a true 1 to 1 motion.

Take tennis for example. Sure you swing the remote and you're little guy will also swing the racket. Using motion plus, it'll now read where your hand is going and it's easier for it to determine the type of swing you'd be taking. Basically, it's what people thought the Wii was going to be before it came out.

I'll have to see on a game by game basis on what the actual value of this is. I think it's also very dependent on how well the programmers program their game logic to utilize the technology. That being said, I think a person would be better off spending that $90 on a real tennis racket and a can of balls.

I have to agree that most Wii consumers, the casual audience, would have little interest in this because they probably thinks the Wii already does this. From a technological point of view, this is pretty awesome, but from a practical business sense, I don't think it will be a huge success. Besides, I'm not sure how long we have to wait for the software to catch up to utilize this technology to the fullest extent. I'm sure there's going to be a lot of smart folks out there hacking the remote to get it to do all sorts of neat stuff though. That's actually what interest me more than the next Wii tennis.

I think that's a very good point Casse. The casual gamer, which could be anywhere from 50% of us to 90% of us based on our own opinions, probably won't know the difference. But at the same time, if they find out there is a difference, then those same casual gamers won't get all bent out of shape anymore over the "I moved my arm up and he went straight!" thing.

I know I'd like to get one, that's for sure. But I guess I'm not a casual gamer at heart.
