I completed that shot a year ago, almost to the day. It wiped me out, I won't lie. It was about a month and a half of nearly every night for an hour or two. Just planning the keyframes, doing roughs a zillion times, and then finally inking and coloring it. It's probably the most complicated thing I've animated since some of the shots I did on Ninja.

And believe it or not, Benson was an 11th hour addition. I wasn't sure what the fuck to do with Player 2. I had so many different ideas of how this thing was going to play out.

That ending was brilliant, the action bits were brilliant, that short was brilliant. This might actually be my favourite short from the Go Nintendo series so far.

Great job Phil! Loved it, glad to see a new flash coming out. I'm curious though, what's up with Go Nintendo? Like they're at the start of those few shorts but what have they contributed to the shorts besides their logo? Seems like they're piggybacking on your work.

Like Nick said, it's a promo thing. They plug the work when it's done, hence helping me build a slight audience. Also, there is a blatant ad at the start of this one, so you can probably put that together.

And yeah, I used his clips right from SRP. I didn't use the one scream because it just didn't fit. I inserted it into the short and it wasn't great.

BTW, a short and a podcast in one week. What is this, 2007?
