You probably could have had a decent weights/workout set-up if you didn't spend that many on Exergames!
I don't have room for that stuff.

I do have weights, I use them with the game!
The thing is, I have a hard time getting motivated. Sure I can run around the block, and do sit ups and push ups or whatever all for free (well I'd need to invest in some nice running shoes if that were the case). But I like that the games keep track of all these stats because it makes me feel like I'm making progress.
And Active puts programs together for you, if I were to do stuff on my own I'd be doing the same three exercises every day because I don't know what the fuck to do.
As for the money part, I've spent 200 dollars total on the four games I own which was spread over the course of what, almost four years? I bought my wife an exercise bike (which I had to clear space to make room for) which was about 200 dollars, was used for like a week and now collects dust. The balance board was the priciest thing I bought and it still gets used fairly often. And the gym, I'm just too self conscious to go there. So I haven't really spent too much money on this stuff in the grand scheme of things.
