Nice write up.

I'd say the Rock is the only wrestler who made the transition successfully. Heck, he's not even The Rock anymore, it's just Dwayne Johnson. Good for him.

Christopher Lloyd is pretty terrible in that movie too...the part where he puts on ramseys glove and grabs the bad guys junk his face looks like he just walked into a surprise party.

Kevin Nash as "The Russian" in The Punisher is even worse. I mean he didn't even say anything, he just tossed Tom Jane around like a ragdoll. I believe he was supposed to have speaking lines, but his acting was so bad they cut it from the movie.

I noticed that No Holds Barred wasn't mentioned. Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon's joint venture to make a movie about a wrestler who takes on the ultimate machine, Zeus! Zeus (played by Tom Lister, Jr.) was a major 80s badass in this movie. I was actually scared of the dude!

Other movies:

Jesse Ventura was in Demolition Man with Stallone, and also The Running Man w/ Arnold.

Roddy Piper and Captain Lou Albano with a lot of lesser knowns in the movie "Body Slam" about a wrestler who works with a messed up music promoter (played by "Face" from the A-Team) and creates an exciting new world for wrestling.

Sting in his own autobiography: Moment of Truth. About how he became a Christian.

Hulk Hogan in 3 Ninjas High Noon at Mega Mountain, Assault on Devil's Island, and Return to Devil's Island.

Big Show in Jingle all the way as Giant Santa.

I am sure that there are more, but I guess I am showing my colors as being more well versed than Manf in the Wrestler Movie Movies.

Man, I remember that. I think it was Cyber City? I know it definately had the word Cyber in it. It really was the worst movie ever. I just remember they kept driving by that one horrible scene over and over in that piece of shit car that looked like it was made out of cardboard.

It's the year 2017, the Earth's surface is destroyed and its citizens flee to an underground wasteland ruled by warring religious cults. In this sinful Cybercity, mercenary Dakota's (C. Thomas Howell) family is murdered by a perverse virtual prophet (Roddy Piper) bent on world domination. Seeking justice, Dakota, beautiful assassin Lilith, and an arsenal of hi-tech weaponry battle for the Earth's most precious resource--humanity. It's time for the false prophets to meet their makers! Packed with innovative special effects and teeth-clenching action, Cybercity will make you rethink the Millennium.

The Suburban Commando/Mr. Nanny double pack DVD arrived in the mail yesterday and I was happy. After I watch Mr. Nanny maybe I'll write a Part 2 to this article.

They Live will always be a classic movie to me. Not only is Piper in it, but Keith David (Goliath in Gargoyles, plus a crap load of movies) and him fight in one of the best street fights ever.

You know, I put a wrestler on Lupron once. Told him it was like milk, because it was creamy. Boy did Cuddy have a field day with that. A man who was in the hospital for steroid abuse, and here I am, giving him steroids!
