Supposedly, these stamps I collected back when I was 5 years old have now become a rarity and are worth $1000. I wonder if I should try to sell them. I don't even know how to go about doing that.

Same as everything else. Ebay / Craigslist / enthusiast forums.

I actually have a shitpile of stamps as well that i'd love to get rid of. What do you have that's worth bank? I wonder if i have any.

This is more of a clutch-daddy. My ID got rejected at the bar tonight. The past couple times I've been carded I've gotten some looks/questions but eventually got served. Tonight the guy said it looked nothing like me and he couldn't accept it. It was shitty smoke-filled bar so I didn't push the issue. The only reason I went to the bar is because I pass it all the time and never had been inside.

After looking at my license tonight I guess I can kinda see their point.... fuck.... that means I need to try and get a new photo taken before the trip I'm taking in 2 weeks.

Nice man. Even though it's a hassle, think of it as a secret compliment. And yeah, you look way different.

Hahaha, I get looks at the bar when I hand them my ID because I look really young for my age.

Aren't you supposed to get your drivers license updated at 21?

I don't think so...Mine was renewed last year, but it just came in the mail because I had no tickets.

In some states, you take a turned profile picture when you're not 21 and retake a new picture facing forward when you turn 21.

Here in PA we retake the pictures everytime the license is renewed (4 years).
The under 21 licenses used to be vertical instead of horizontal, but it kinda sucks because you get a "new" license at 20 and keep it for 4 years. So from 21-23 you automatically get an extra close look at your license when you get carded because it's still vertical.

I don't know if they're cracking down harder on fake id's or if because summer is starting a lot more places are asking, but I've got carded more in the past month than I have in the past 2 years probably.

You going to be moving out to Menlo Park? What's the position for?

It's in Ashburn, VA. Facebook is building out their own data center here. The position is for a Lead Data Center Engineer. Basically what i've been doing for the past three years, with a little more responsibility. Should be a HUGE pay bump though if i get it. Probably like 2x what i'm making now.

I don't envy you data center guys. Working all hours to make sure things are up and running.

I'm not sure how you animators on the boards deal with these cycles of projects ending, isn't it hard to just latch onto another project right after you get laid off? anyways, clutch is me. I got hired as a manager of an art store.

Nice dude, good luck. Where'd you end up after the megaupload thing went down? Or were you gone before that happened?

Nice, a steady job is always a clutch. Hopefully you still have time to work your craft too.

I am still with Carpathia, also in Ashburn. The Megaupload fiasco didn't really affect us much financially. No one got laid off or anything, and we didn't lose any (non-Megaupload) customers.

Got the call from Facebook today, made it to the second interview with the Data Center Manager.

Just watch out when they try to trick you with their stock options. :)
