So a website that we created a while ago, well the current one is a total POS, but we've spent some time making a decent new one, and I've come to realize that phil is right about the text. I'm finding myself spending most of the time with the goddamn text on the website!

Nice work man...I just finished a website as well...It is pretty basic besides the flash photo albums but overall I plan on just improving it from here.

hitting a roadblock as far as coding goes, we have a decent coder who will do it for 100$ but not sure on the quality, and i'm 18 and cant shell out thousands for a website like a company can.

I've started making site again, just using wordpress instead. Was wondering how the smorg integrates the forum with the site? I don't think there's any plug-ins for forums.

I just use phpBB. It's not integrated with WP.... which has been a big issue from us since the day we launched the blog.

so you just put it on your host, and you link it from wp? I dont see why they don't make a plug-in haha

Yup.

There are plugins but they're a nightmare to work with and many of them have had support dropped so new versions of WP are incompatible with them. It sucks because I was actually just looking into this stuff a month or two ago. I wanted to have it ready for when we get the new Nerdlog going. I plan on putting comments back into the articles, but the cost will be that users will be required to have two different sign ons. It sucks, but you know what? We had way more people sign up for our Nerdlog in a short amount of time than we ever had for the smorg, so I'm willing to just deal with it.

Why not just use the default anonymous post thing for the nerdlog then have people sign up for the smorg?
