Yeah. I hope it came out all right. I drew it with pencil and then used a fine point sharpie on the edges.

Here's mine!

I have no idea what bounding boxes are supposed to look like so I just drew some boxes around and tried to picture what I wanted to go in them. I'm not sure if they helped or not.

I colored in the blank area in photoshop.

Cool.

What I meant by a box was just to make a square that is a similar shape (or the exact shape) of the Link image. That's all, it was just a tip. Anyway, about to do mine before it gets too late.

Thats okay about shading it. You don't have to do that part.

I tried to spend extra time on the negative space between the arms. I actually re did it a couple of times. I mainly tried to focus on the shape itself which looked like a boot to me. Then I tried to replicate the boot and position it where I thought it should go. I tried to get my wife to do this one with me but she didn't like the assignment. Maybe she'll be up for the next one since it's a quick one.

Yeah, that part was hard. Very tricky.

What was it that she didn't like about it? Just seemed boring to her?

Yeah. She said she didn't find it too interesting.

People need to join in on these. I don't want to see Art Tuesdays go away like it did before.

Yeah. I'm already getting to the "whats the point?" point. Haha. But the point is, I need to brush up, so I'll keep doing it even if it's just me. Ha.

i actually really like doing this exercise. i try to do it regularly. some of these were done under 60 seconds. the only draw back to drawing your own hand is that you get limited views of the subject (you can only see your own hand form so many sides!), but in a pinch its a good way to learn how a hand works.

Here are mine! Now looking at them, I wish I had more time to fix them up. My fingers look really fat in that middle one. My thumb also looks funky on the right one. Oh well.

i think it would be a fair if you went back in now after the assignment is completed, touched them up, and reposted your results again. alot of what takes drawing hands (well, anything for that matter) is understanding the underlying shapes that create the curves and contours on the surface. hands are hard to do because no where else in the body is there more structurally going on in such a small area. they're fun to do, and help you visualize things better.

good stuff tu. hope to see more soon.
