If any of you guys want those tickets I bought for the Lightning game in 118 row 25, you can have them for 60 a ticket. I'm sitting up in my seats, so theres no need for this second pair.

now we wait. Phils start times were announced today. Game 1 is saturday at 7:57pm. Flyers are supposed to play at 7 but a change might be happening. Ive been reading some things though that say the Pens have to agree to the change since they play friday night at home.

I figured that would be the plan. The weather doesn't look too bad so that works. We just need a couple of sober drivers to get us home. Also if we stay, we might want to stay about an hour after the Phillies game because that traffic getting out will be a mess

Nikolai Zherdev was finally told he had to speak to the media in Philadelphia and not duck interviews or hide behind a translator. Zherdev came out of a meeting with GM Paul Holmgren saying he would talk to everybody "but the Russian reporter" and he pointed at Flyers.com writer Tim Panaccio. When told Panaccio was Italian, through and through, Zherdev shrugged. "Well, he looks like he’s in the Russian mob."

-- Edmonton Journal

HAHAHA I fucking hate Tim Panaccio, his tweets about his cats and his Phillies comments irritate me.

The Flyers have re-signed 25-year-old forward Jeff Carter to an 11-year $58 million deal according to two sources.

The contract will be filed at 5 p.m. on Saturday and a news conference with General Manager Paul Holmgren is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Earlier in the week, the Flyes re-signed Claude Giroux. Carter's deal gives the Flyers some cap flexibility so they can re-sign Ville Leino, as well.

(more coming…)

i thought it was gonna cost a lot more. Im a fan of him and giroux being signed. Lets get Leino locked up now.

did you here how they're doing the teams this year?
The fans are voting for the 12 starters, but then 2 team captains are going to pick the rest of the teams, like a pickup game or something....

I always liked north america vs the world....

i wasnt a fan of north america vs the world. i was always east vs west guy.

I think i like this though.

The fans get a say in the starters (three forwards, two defenseman and a goalie) regardless of conference, then the league’s Hockey Operations Department will pick a player pool consisting of 36 All-Stars and 12 rookies. The rookies will participate in the skills event. Once the starters and player pool are selected the players will then elect two captains to draft the teams. Each team will have three goalies, six defensemen and 13 forwards but can be selected in any order.

should be fun to watch. Like i would like to see Richards and Giroux playing against each other.

what a fucking bullshit call. That was not the Sean Avery play. Here is the Sean Avery rule.

"An unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalty will be interpreted and applied, effective immediately, to a situation when an offensive player positions himself facing the opposition goaltender and engages in actions such as waving his arms or stick in front of the goaltender's face, for the purpose of improperly interfering with and/or distracting the goaltender as opposed to positioning himself to try to make a play," Colin Campbell, the NHL director of hockey operations, said in a statement.

that didnt happen. Pronger was facing the play not the goalie. And the Ref had a good 5 seconds to blow the play dead and didnt until after he scored. bullshit call.

So, you're complaining about reffing eh? :P

But I agree that was bullshit, Pronger looked like he was pointing/directing a play.

Also the calls in the Ottawa Pittsburg game were horseshit. Fisher gets smoked mid ice and he hasn't touched the puck forever, no call, Pens score, bullshit. That was the winning goal too. Although I can't bitch too much cause Ottawa's offense has been ass the last 6 games, 9 goals for, 23 against.
