Looking forward to the 10 a.m. between the Ivory Coast and Portugal. It should be one of the better games of the first round. Then I got Brazil after that. It's a great day to be off!

The ball is like that horn, retarded, but still England needs to get its shit together.

I can agree with you on the horn. Here is mt take on it http://www.phillysportsblogs.com/grindi ... ience.html

Also I was disappointed in the Ivory Coast-Portugal game. I can't wait for the second round of games to start so teams finally get a little desperate and open things up.

Nothing gets me as riled up as when people go out of their way to bash soccer for no reason, like it some how makes them more of a man or more Americans. Check out this great read from http://phillyuniontalk.com/06-17-2010/a ... omment-377 The guys puts that dumbass Glen Beck in his place real good. One day people will realize that little by little soccer is starting to suceed in this country and being the dickhead that has nothing better to do than bash it is going out of style. I hope this fuck gets hit by a bus filled with soccer fans heading to a stadium. Maybe then he will get a mucking clue.

That was a good read, hell, I even heard while watching the England game that the U.S. bought more tickets to see games at the world cup then any other country in the world this time around. Glenn Beck can suck my rooster.

I get this from the Canadian guys at work, all the European dudes are all about the cup though. I've been accused of being one of them.

Final round robin games for group C today.

So right now Slovenia is leading with 1 draw and 1 win for 4 points and a goal differential of +1
USA and England are tied with 2 draws for 2 points.
Algeria has 1 draw for 1 point.

If USA beats Algeria, they'll have 5 points with at least a +1 GD. That would guarantee them a spot in the knockout round because only 1 of the other 2 teams could pass them.
If they draw, then it's up to England to lose. If they both draw, i'm not sure what would happen.
Do they go by most goals scored because their GD is the same? If so USA is still in good shape because they have 3 goals to England's 1 so far.

If USA loses, they'll have 3 points with at least a -1 GD and Algeria would have 3 points with at least a 0 GD, so they would be eliminated.

Both games start at 9:30 EST, 20 more minutes.
I'm off today and gonna watch me some soccer!

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

That was the first game this year that i watched the whole way through and it did not disappoint. I also think that was the first time watching soccer on tv that I jumped out of my chair for a goal ha ha.

That was actually a really exciting game. The one announcer just kept saying you could not write a better script than this. Hollywood couldnt top this. and stuff like that. He loved every second of it.
