Theater Releases for August 8th
A stoner action movie.
The pants return.
Gee whiz, these sound like some damn fine movies for the summer that is coming to an end!

Pineapple Express - Big time stoner Dale Denton, played by Seth Rogen, witnesses a corrupt cop commit a murder. So he hits the road with his weed dealer (James Franco) in an attempt to outrun the men sent to kill him. Co-written by Superbad writers Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Produced by the great Judd Apatow.

The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants 2 – Best friends played by Alexis Bledel, America Ferrara, Amber Tambyln, and Blake Lively all are having tough times at their respective colleges so they reunite in order to track down their missing pair of magical jeans that gave them so much good luck in the past.
In limited release is HELL RIDE, the homage to B-movies much like Grindhouse was. This one is about bikers battling. Starring Dennis Hopper, Michael Maden, and more…
Pineapple Express actually opened on Wednesday and reportedly made about 12 million in its first day of release. Could this be the first movie to knock The Dark Knight out of the #1 spot. TDK is cruising past $400 million looking to at least take the #2 spot of all time box office cash. Pineapple Express is standing in its way on its quest to take out Titanic.
