Theater Releases for February 29th
A 70’s basketball star.
Sisters battling for a dude.
Those are the only 2 major releases hitting the theaters today. Enjoy.

Soccer, Racing, Ice Skating, and now Basketball.
Semi Pro – Will Ferrell plays Jackie Moon, the owner/coach/player for the ABA Flint Michigan Tropics. When the ABA decides to shut down, Moon has to rally his team to win so they are considered for the NBA. Also starring Woody Harrelson and Andre Benjamin.

My brain would explode if a little sumthin, sumthin happened…
The Other Boleyn Girl – Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson are sisters who are both battling to win the affections of King Henry IV, played by Eric Bana.
In limited released today is Penelope where Christina Ricci is cursed with a pig snout and must break the curse by finding her true love. Also, City of Men about a drug war that spirals out of control. And finally Bonneville about three old bags that go on a road trip to spread the ashes of one of their husbands.
I’m one that’s not tired of the Will Ferrell character. I don’t care that he’s the same character in all of these sports comedies. It gives you a different story and different laughs. It’s getting railed on by critics but most of the time these silly comedies do so that means nothing to me. I’m still planning on seeing this bad boy.
