An animated fantasy tale.
A magical toy store.
A lifetime love story.
Take a looksie.

Beowulf
Animated Jolie ass is fine with me.

Beowulf – a motion capture animation film starring Ray Winstone as BEOWULF! He must save his people from a huge monster named Grendel (Crispin Glover) only to feel the wrath of the monster’s mother (Angelina Jolie). I AM BEOWULF!

Mr Magorium
Dustin Wonka and the Toy Factory

Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium – Dustin Hoffman is a Willy Wonka-like toy store owner. He claims to be 243 years old and in charge of this magical place. When he plans to retire, he wants to pass off the store to his awkward co-worker Natalie Portman who can’t quite deal with the store’s magic.

Love in the time of Cholera
Where’s Creepo?

Love In The Time Of Cholera – a young man (Javier Bardem) is rejected by the love of his life (Giovanna Mezzogiorno) so he devotes the rest of his life to desperate attempts to win the woman over while partaking in many meaningless affairs.

In limited released is Margot At The Wedding which stars Nicole Kidman and Jack Black among others in a movie about a bunch of sisters trying to stop a wedding.
Also the often delayed (18 months total) Richard Kelly film where an actor with amnesia (The Rock), an adult film star (Sarah Michelle Gellar), and a police officer (Seann William Scott) have their lives intertwine in this future setting. Its called Southland Tales and it finally hits a select few theaters today.

My choice is Southland Tales.
Richard Kelly wrote and directed one of the biggest mind-muck movies of all time, Donnie Darko. It’s probably in my Top 10 of all time favorites just because it blows my mind. Southland Tales got absolutely trashed at the Cannes Film Festival of 2006 which caused the release to get delayed for a year and half. Now after many reshoots and edits, it finally hits some select theaters this weekend and I’m pretty excited. Now, its just a question about finding someone to see it with me. The trailer is too weird to really attract a lot of people. I might have to get this movie by… other means.
