DVD Releases for October 30th

Spider-Man 3 – Spidey (Tobery Maguire) is back defending the city against the misunderstood ex-con Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), Harry Osborn as the new Green Goblin (James Franco), and Eddie Brock as Venom (Topher Grace). All while dealing with his own personal problems with Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) and his new black suit. Jam packed with characters this time around.
Captivity – a man and a woman (Elisha Cuthbert) wake up to find out they are captives in a cellar. As the kidnapper plays mind games with them, they must find out more and more about why they were kidnapped in the first place.
License to Wed – John Krasinki and Mandy Moore would like to get married. But the family friend who also happens to be their priest needs to approve of the man first. Robin Williams stars as the over the top priest in this romantic comedy.
The Tripper – The written and directed by David Arquette horror film about a serial killer wearing a Ronald Reagan mask who terrorizes a bunch of hippies who are on the way to a weekend long concert similar to Woodstock.
Talk to Me – a true story set in the 1960s about ex-con radio DJ Petey Green (Don Cheadle) who’s controversial show creates a great buzz for the station in Washington DC but also starts a rocky relationship between Green and the station manager.
The Wendell Baker Story – the straight to DVD Wilson brother extravaganza. Andrew Wilson directs his 2 brothers Owen and Luke. Luke Wilson is Wendell Baker, an ex-con who gets a job at a retirement home where he makes friends with some of the elderly. They help him try to win back his girlfriend (Eva Mendes) while battling the head nurse (Owen Wilson).
Day Watch – the sequel to the Russian language sci-fi movie Night Watch. The forces of Light and Dark battle it out. In this one, a member of the Day Watch turns to the other side and the remaining members must keep the peace while stopping Armageddon.
The Spider-Man trilogy pack is also released today too in case you don’t have any of the previous movies.
As for TV shows, there’s Family Guy Freakin Party Pack, Twin Peaks entire series, Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 5, Miami Ink Season 1, Shaggy & Scooby Doo Get A Clue Volume 1, Angel entire series, CSI Miami Season 5, Everybody Loves Raymond entire series, Magnum PI Season 7, I Love Lucy entire series, The Three Stooges Collection Volume 1, and My So Called Life entire series.
Even though I wasn’t a huge fan of the newest Spider-Man, I also didn’t think it was terrible like some people said. I would pick it up to finish off the series. Who knows what will happen with the Spider-Man sequels from here on out.
But I am also thinking about getting The Three Stooges Collection. For those of you too young to have had experienced the Stooges (even I’m too young for their prime but they were on TV more back in the day) then GET IT. Its simple comedy at its finest.
