The final Friday of October is upon us. Do you know what that means?
Since we didn’t get many horror movies this month, we just get the main one that started 4 years ago. Yes, there has been one every October for the last 4 years. It’s the new horror franchise. And in competition is a family comedy. Weird.

Saw IV
Manbearpig

Saw IV – Jigsaw is now dead. But he didn’t go out without setting up a final (yeah right) trap. He still haunts the living that he feels don’t appreciate the life they are given. It picks up with a man who must find his daughter and escape a building before they both die.

Dan in Real Life
A comedy sandwich

Dan In Real Life – Steve Carell is a single father who heads to a family reunion at the Jersey Shore (Yeeeeeah Jersey!) with his teenage daughters. He falls for a woman who happens to be the girlfriend of his brother (Dane Cook). He has to fend off his feelings while also watching out for his teenage daughters and the boys.

That’s all we get this week. A simple 1-2 punch of movies.
Very opposite in genre. A family comedy with a little romance and a torture horror thriller. So whatever you feel this weekend is the way to go. In the Halloween spirit, then hit up Saw. I personally think its gone downhill since the first one which was very original (with terrible acting). Or if you’re feeling in a rom-com mood to take the chick to see a movie about relationships but also has the comedy of Steve Carell, then the choice is obvious. Good luck with that.

Happy Halloween all you Shamoozalites.

Of course Dane Cook is in it. He’s in every movie now. He’s a star.

I hate him.
