DVD Releases for September 25th

Knocked Up – a slacker (Seth Rogen) gets a hot piece of ass (Katherine Heigl) pregnant from a drunken one night stand after a night out at the club. So they must decide what to do with the baby since neither feel like they’re ready to be parents. From writer/director Judd Apatow.
Bug – A lonely waitress (Ashley Judd) is in hiding from her abusive ex-husband (Harry Connick Jr) at a dumpy motel. She meets a drifter who seems to be a bit weird. Then all hell breaks loose when the first bugs arrive….
Next – Nicolas Cage (with his terrible haircut) can see a few minutes into his own future. A government agent (Julianne Moore) wants to use his talent for good but all Cage wants to do is bang the hot girl he met (Jessica Biel). Eventually Cage gives in and helps the government in their attempts to stop a terrorist attack.
Black Book – a Jewish chick survives an attack during World War II and joins the Dutch Resistance to avenge her dead family. She must keep her identity secret while infiltrating he German headquarters.
The TV Set – a comedic look at the world of network television. The story is about a new television pilot as it goes through the process of getting in front of an audience. The writer is played by David Duchovny and the network exec is Sigourney Weaver.
Alone in the Dark – Christian Slater is a private investigator specializing in the supernatural. With the help of his ex-girlfriend, an archaeologist played by Tara Reid (HAHAHAHAHAHA), and his rival played by Stephen Dorff, Slater is about to get into his most dangerous case yet.
Walking Tall: Lone Justice – Kevin Sorbo takes the role in this straight to DVD sequel to The Rock’s hit movie of 2004. He isn’t supposed to be the same character though, it’s a new guy with the same story. He returns to his hometown to rid it of crime.
Like always, there’s also a few special edition DVDs out today.
Babel, Severance, and Cujo all hit shelves with the extra special features always included in SE DVDs.
And there’s a whole buttload of TV seasons out today.

I’d have to go with Knocked Up. It is one hilarious movie and the definite #1 choice on this DVD Release Tuesday.
Judd Apatow and his cronies are the kings of raunchy comedy these days. Don’t get me wrong though I will also be willing to purchase King Cage’s NEXT, My Name is Earl, Kings of Queens, and The Bronx is Burnning. All good to me.
Also congratulations to me on my 70th nerdlog post.
