Theater Releases for August 31st
This is the final Friday in August. The final Friday of the summer.
Summer blockbusters are officially OVER!
September and October are usually mediocre months in preparation for all the Oscar buzzworthy movies that come out in November and December. So without further jibber jabber, I bring you today’s movies.

Sabretooth Myers against Fake Jamie Lee Curtis
Halloween – this is a remake/prequel of 1978’s classic horror film by John Carpenter. This time the writing and directing was taken over by Rob Zombie. We get backstory on Michael Myers’ younger years and insane asylum years before that fateful night where he came back to kill his sister…. and a shitload of other people.

Who the hell is this guy?
Balls of Fury – from the writers of Reno! 911 comes a movie about underground to-the-death ping-pong tournaments hosted by Christopher Walken. Some fat guy goes undercover to help the police bring down this madman.

Its Business, its business Bacon!
Death Sentence – Kevin Bacon is a normal dude who has a normal life then his son is brutally murdered. He becomes obsessed with getting revenge of the gang of thugs that did this to him. HE SNAPS!
That’s all for the final week of the summer.
I’m biased in this decision since I have been a huge fan of all of Rob Zombie’s work dating back to his late 80s/early 90s music with White Zombie and up through his last writing/directing effort The Devil’s Rejects. So I’m seeing Halloween whether film critics are trashing it or not.
