DVD Releases for August 28th

Blades of Glory – Will Ferrell and Jon Heder are rival figure skaters who get banned from singles skating after a huge fight on national television. They must join forces along with their new coach Craig T. Nelson (aka Hayden Fox) in doubles skating to still take part in the sport they love.
Kickin’ it Old Skool – Jamie Kennedy awakens from a coma after 20 years and tries to reunite his old break dancing crew who have been out of the game as long as Jamie has been gone. He’s gotta get with the times and talk his boys into dancing again so they can win a competition.
A Night at the Roxbury – this is one of Will Ferrell’s first movies straight from SNL getting the special edition treatment. The famous SNL skit of the club goers who have no luck with the ladies was turned into a movie about their life of doing nothing but hitting clubs all night and disappointing their dad all day.
Dane Cook: The Lost Pilots – supposedly before Dane Cook became super popular he tried his hand at a couple of sitcoms. One is about him being a comedian and the other is about him being a slacker who drags his buddies through crazy adventures. Both were never picked up by any TV stations but are getting the DVD treatment because Dane Cook is the biggest stand-up comic around these days.
Meet The Parents/Fockers is getting a double set edition along with Carlito’s Way/Rise to Power. And at long last we get what everyone was waiting for, the Crocodile Dundee Trilogy.
For television series we get the very cool Heroes Season 1, Samurai Jack Season 4, Friday Night Lights Season 1, The Odd Couple Season 2, Dragon Ball Z Season 3, Legion of Superheroes Volume 1, and Showtime’s Masters of Horror Season 1.
Blades of Glory is a really funny movie. Funnier that I thought it was going to be.
A Night at the Roxbury really makes me laugh too. Its one of those movies I would have never seen in theaters but then saw it on TV years later and cracked up.
But if I was going to buy something it would be Heroes Season 1. I would definitely want to rewatch that show before the new season started. Its one of the best shows on TV right now.
But screw everything, I’m buying Metroid Prime 3 for Wii today and nothing else.
