Theater Releases for July 27th
I would say today is a milestone movie day.
A movie that has been anticipated and rumored for probably 15 years is finally coming to theaters. Some may say it’s a little too late; some may not care one way or the other. Let’s see what we have in store for this wonderful Friday.

The one, the only, Homer J. Simpson
The Simpsons Movie – Homer must save the world from some type of catastrophe that he created. Look for every single Simpsons character to pop up somewhere throughout this 90 minute animated movie.

Cooking up some cheesy rom-com.
No Reservations – Catherine Zeta-Jones is a chef who has no time for men. Then a new chef, Aaron Eckhart, starts working with her and of course the magic starts happening. Romantic comedy at its best… or worst. You decide.

I Know Who Snorted Me
I Know Who Killed Me – Lindsay Lohan is a stripper who is abducted by a serial killer and tortured. She escapes and is traumatized. She starts thinking she is not who everyone says she is and the real girl is still in trouble.
I’m a lifelong Simpsons fan. There’s no doubt in my mind when I give out the recommendation this week. The Simpsons are an animated series that is 15+ years old. The movie probably would have done better coming out around Season 6 or 7 but to make up for that the producers have gotten almost every writer to ever contribute to the series to return to help out. So if you thought the Simpsons were funnier 10 years ago then maybe you’ll get a little of that writing. If you’re like me and you still enjoy the episodes today then you’ll probably enjoy it no matter what. I know I’m seeing it tonight. You can bet your ass on that. Homer Simpson is comedy GOLD!
