We get a little bit of action.
We get a little bit of mystery.
And we get a little bit of comedy.
This Friday has new movies for a various bunch of different movie goers.
But CHOOSE WISELY!

NEXT
“I use my future seeing ability to dodge various objects.”

Next – Nicolas Cage can see into the future right before it happens in hopes of changing the outcome of situations. Eventually he is needed to stop a terrorist plot. This movie looks like a joke. There are 2 scenes which seal the deal for me: The dodging of logs and the dodging of bullets. Both scenes just look so ridiculous that I expect the same from the rest of the movie. I must admit though, I am a big Cage fan and his action movies are usually good. I don’t want to believe this could be good too… but I think I’d see it. Guilty pleasure.

The Invisible
This guy has the right idea of what to do when invisible, just go ahead in the shower buddy.

The Invisible – Jesus Lord, this movie has been delayed so many times. I think I had it in another movie update. Anyway, it’s about a kid who gets murdered and doesn’t know it. He still walks around as a ghost but no one can see him. So he must figure out what happened in order to save his SOUL!!! It looks pretty interesting, I’d give it a shot on DVD or HBO but for theaters I would pass.

Kickin it Old Skool
This poster just makes me angry!!

Kickin’ it Old Skool – Jamie Kennedy is the WORST!!!! I just can’t stand him. In this movie he is a break dancer who gets his old team back together to….. NO! I can’t continue. The only good thing is David Goyer directed it. He wrote Batman Begins and the Blade series. But he didn’t write this one, just directed so forget about it.

The Condemned
“I’M THE WINNER CAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO!!”

The Condemned – this is the 3rd film from the new production company WWE Films. This one stars Stone Cold Steve Austin as one of 10 convicts on Death Row dropped on an island, filmed for an internet TV show, and told to kill each other. The winner gets freedom. Cool concept but I have a feeling it wont be any good. I saw the other 2 WWE Films, See No Evil with Kane and The Marine with John Cena. Both were pretty bad. This one at least looks better than them.

So that’s the lineup for Friday.
If I had to choose one, I would be torn between The Condemned just because I’m a Stone Cold fan or Next just because I’m a Nic Cage fan. Both don’t look like anything special but I’m just going on my own personal acting tastes. Plus Nicolas Cage is a new member to our Smorgas Board. Go on over and send him a message, maybe he can hook you up with some movies passes. But probably not since he either talks like a teenage girl or in his own movie quotes.

when are people going to wake up and realize that cage is a total idiot and i terrible actor. he looks like he’s gotta take a crap about 80% of the time.

plus the condemned was already made around 15 years ago. it was called the running man with good ol’ arnold in that role.

i hate you, cage.

I never said CAGE wasn’t an idiot or that he could act. The brilliance of CAGE is that he’s CAGE and he’s pretty much the same guy in every movie. CAGE. And those movies are great and you love them despite the fact that Nicolas Cage is absolutely terrible. It’s funny to watch his typical Nic Cage facial reactions and delivers his cliche Nic Cage lines (Best lines ever by the way just short of the lines in ID4). He’s even more fun to imitate.

Make fun of me as much as you want, I thought Kickin It Old School looks pretty funny. And I liked Malibu’s Most Wanted. Don’t be hatin’.

I don’t know what you have against Cage. I enjoy all of his movies. Lord of War & Weatherman are two Cage classics. The bottom line is Cage rules.
