DVD Releases for April 24th
Hit your Best Buy and Circuit City and whatever other DVD selling stores are near you. Today is Tuesday and that means we get a slew of new releases hitting shelves. Here’s what’s coming to a store near you….

Déjà Vu is from acclaimed director Tony Scott. It’s about Denzel Washington hot on the case as a detective that experiences déjà vu in his latest investigation.
Night at the Museum is a Ben Stiller starring family comedy about all the exhibits in a museum coming to life at night.
The Queen is the story of Queen Elizabeth as portrayed by Oscar nominee Helen Mirren.
Code Name: The Cleaner is a comedy about Cedric the Entertainer thinking he’s a double agent…. but he’s not, he’s a cleaner.
Other notable releases are Parenthood SE*, Harry and the Hendersons SE*, The Odd Couple Season 1, The Drew Carey Show Season 1, and a limited release in theaters, 10 Items or Less, starring Morgan Freeman.
If I had the money to buy only one single DVD this wonderful Tuesday then it would have to be Déjà Vu. Tony Scott put out some quality stuff. Older stuff like Top Gun and Days of Thunder and then newer more visual stuff like Domino and Man on Fire. I’m a fan of most of his work. Sometimes its pretty ‘out there’ though.
Night at the Museum is written by the guys who do Reno 911. I’m a fan of that show but I saw NATM and it just wasn’t that funny. Maybe it’s geared more towards kids but I only got a few laughs and the ending was just ridiculous. I don’t think I would watch it again.
*SE = Special Edition
